Bu araştırmada, LEGO destekli STEM etkinliklerinin ortaokul öğrencilerinin bilimsel süreç becerilerine ve STEM’ e karşı tutumlarına etkisi incelenmiştir. Fen bilimleri 7. sınıf basit makineler konusunun LEGO destekli STEM etkinlikleri ile öğretiminin gerçekleştirildiği çalışmada, 2015-2016 eğitim öğretim yılında 7. Sınıf düzeyinde 25 öğrenci katılmıştır. Etkinlikler 8 hafta boyunca devam etmiştir. Araştırmada, deneysel yöntemlerden, ön test-son test tek gruplu araştırma modeli uygulanmıştır. Veri toplama araçları olarak, "Bilimsel Süreç Becerileri Testi" ve "STEM Tutum Testi" kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizleri SPSS paket programı kullanılarak yapılarak betimlenmiştir. Yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucunda, öğrencilerin bilimsel süreç becerilerinde (p<,05) ve STEM' e karşı tutumlarında (p<,05) anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulgulara göre, fen bilimleri derslerinde LEGO destekli STEM etkinliklerinin gerçekleştirilmesi, öğrencilerin bilimsel süreç becerilerine ve STEM' e karşı tutumlarına olumlu katkı sağladığı sonucunda ulaşılmıştır.
This study has studied the impact of LEGO-backed STEM activities on high school students’ scientific process skills and their attitudes towards STEM. In the study in which the teaching was carried out with LEGO-backed STEM events on the subject of science 7th class simple machines, the 2015-2016 educational year was 7. There were 25 students at the class level. The events continued for eight weeks. In the research, from experimental methods, the pre-test-final test has been applied a single-group research model. As data collection tools, the "Scientific Process Skills Test" and "STEM Attitude Test" were used. The analysis of the data obtained is described using the SPSS package program. The results of the statistical analysis found that there was a significant difference in the students' scientific process skills (p<,05) and their attitudes to STEM (p<,05) . According to these findings, the realization of LEGO-backed STEM activities in science courses has been achieved as a result of a positive contribution of students to the scientific process skills and their attitudes towards STEM.
