Abstract:

The sport is separated from other fields with its own structure, function, technical and special vocabulary. Each sport has its own jargon, clashes, and even argos. This rich vocabulary reflects sports news, comments and texts. The sports language is vivid, concrete and imagistic, contains verbal, curved expressions. The sports language has a saved and concentrated vocabulary. The language is creative. In the language of sports, for its nature, loans are often found from the English language. The sports are up to date. As sport is placed in everyday life, as it is adopted, the terms are spread in the daily language. Technology is one of the most important factors in the spread of sports terms. The sports language includes oral and non-verbal forms of communication. While understanding sports news texts makes a linguistic and cultural sports background necessary, we believe that translation also requires a higher level of cognitive skill. In this regard, we think that in translation training, a separate place should be given to sports news texts that form one of the special fields of press translation. By moving from this point, the study in the source language sports news texts have been studied in the type of text, structural, (kip-time-looking, exhausted narratives, naming); meaningful (covering, lending, abbreviations) and cultural (jargon, cliche, argo, vocal arts, speech and sentences) and the difficulties encountered in their translations. In the translation, the communication approach includes linguistic communication, the founding terms of linguistic communication, the functions of the language and the method of compensation. As a result, the method of compensation in the translation of sports news texts was considered to be appropriate.
