Abstract:

This study aims to identify, fix, and study the views of the mathematical teachers' candidates about the mathematical conceptual errors. The research approach has been used. The sample of the study is made up of a total of 32 mathematician teachers candidates who are studying in a university's Primary Mathematical Education Anabolic Department during the 2017-2018 educational year. As a data collection tool, a form consisting of 6 open end questions prepared in accordance with the purpose of the research was used. Teachers' candidates have scaned the answers to open-end questions and transmitted them to the digital environment. The data was submitted to content analysis using the MAXQDA 12 quality data analysis program. The study found that teaching candidates thought that it would be more appropriate to identify, eliminate and use conceptual maps, conceptual cartoons and two-step diagnostic tests in conceptual teaching. In this context, it is recommended that these alternative methods or techniques be used to identify and fix mathematical conceptual errors.
