The aim of this study is to determine the relationship of the democratic attitudes of the students at the Faculty of Education, Inonu University with some variables. For this purpose, it was tested whether their democratic attitude levels are related with their department /program, gender, the type of school they graduated, the location and vicinity of the school they graduated, the education level and profession of their mother, the education level and profession of their father, the number of brothers and sisters, the structure of their family, type of university entrance score and their family’s income level. In the result of our study, it was found out that the democratic attitudes of the students show a difference according to their gender, their mother’s profession, their graduated school type, their entrance grade type and their deparments. It was found that the students in social sciences are better than those in natural and applied scences in possessing democratic attitudes. Therefore a more effective program about democratic attitudes should be applied to natural and applied sciences deparments.
