This study intended to determine prospective teachers’ -studying in Ege University Faculty of Education licence programmes- attitudes towards teaching according to the variables including their gender, the type of the program they study, the high school type they graduated from and the incomes of their family in comparative perspective. The current study is in descriptive survey model. The forth grade students in Ege University Faculty of Education comprised the working group. In this study “The Attitudes of Prospective Teachers Towards the Profession of Teaching” developed by Üstüner (2006) and Likert type scale with 5 points was used. The scale was applied to 373 students. In the results, a significant differences was observed between licence programmes however no significant difference was observed between the variables of gender, the school graduated and the incomes of the family.
