Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğrenci, öğretmen ve velilerin görüşleri doğrultusunda ilkokul Görsel Sanatlar dersinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yaklaşımı çerçevesinde olgubilim araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Gaziantep ilinde bulunan ilkokullarda, 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören altı öğrenci ve onların öğretmen ve velilerinden oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma verileri, iki oturum olarak yapılan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmelerle toplanmış, içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilerek yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrenci, öğretmen ve velilerin Görsel Sanatlar dersinin önemli ve gerekli olduğuna inandıkları, ancak fiziksel koşullar ve programdan kaynaklanan çeşitli gerekçelerle bu atfedilen önemin uygulamalara pek yansıtılmadığını düşündükleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Bununla birlikte, her üç katılımcı grubunda en dikkat çekici sonuçlar, öğrencilerin bu dersi en çok hayal dünyalarını özgürce yansıtabildikleri için sevdikleri, ancak dersin resim çizmek ile sınırlı kaldığı görüşüne sahip olduğu; öğretmenlerin bu dersi işlemeye yönelik kendilerini yetersiz gördüğü, velilerin ise bu derse yönelik sınıf öğretmenlerinden ve çocuklarından pek bir beklentiye sahip olmadıkları yönündedir. Bu araştırma sonuçlarının konuya ilişkin farklı yıllarda yapılan araştırma sonuçlarıyla benzerlik göstermesi, farklı bağlam ve koşulların sanat eğitimine bakış açısı ve uygulamalarında önemli bir farkı ortaya koymadığını düşündürmektedir. Bu nedenle, öncelikle öğretmenlerin alana yönelik hem bakış açılarını hem de uygulamalarını zenginleştiren hizmet içi eğitimleri ile sanat ve sanat eğitiminin önem ve gerekliliğine ilişkin aile eğitimlerine önem verilmesi önerilebilir.
The aim of this study is to examine the visual arts course in primary school in line with the opinions of students, teachers and parents. In the research, phenomenology research pattern was used in the framework of qualitative research approach. The study group consists of six students from fourth grade in the primary schools from the Gaziantep province and their tearchers and parents. The research data was collected from two sessions of semi-structured interviews. The collected data was analyzed and interpreted by the content analysis method. The following are the most remarkable results in all three groups of participants: The students think they like this course because they can reflect their imagination freely, but that the course is limited to drawing; teachers see themselves as inadequate for this lesson, and parents do not have much expectation from their class teachers and children. The similarity of the results of this research with the results of other studies in this context indicates that different contexts and conditions do not reveal a significant difference. In this regard, it can be suggested to give particular importance to the family education related to the importance and necessity of art and art education together with in-service training that enrich both the perspectives and practices of teachers.
