Abstract:

Arabic tourism has recently rised both in the world and in Turkey. Most cities of Turkey get its share from rising Arabic tourism and popularity of Turkey's in the Arabic world. But Kastamonu does not get enough one's piece of the pie. This negative situation of Kastamonu, which is a very important city especially in terms of culture and faith tourism, should be investigated. For this reason, it is important to carry out SWOT analysis and to present the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. In this context, the aim of this study is to investigate the potential of Arab tourists in Turkey in terms of Kastamonu. In the study, the data obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Turkish Travel Agencies Association and the Turkish Statistical Institute. According to the results obtained, the powerful aspects of Kastamonu constitute a potential in terms of history, culture, natural beauties and faith tourism. But the weaknesses come into prominence as the inadequacy of the shopping areas and social life.
