Abstract:

With the developments in the use of information technology in recent years, the training of qualified individuals working in this sector has become increasingly important. It is also important for the information field to identify and evaluate these characteristics of individuals who carry the entrepreneurial qualities of the industry and are thinking of creating their own business. Computer Engineering students are potential entrepreneurs candidates in the computer technology sector to meet the demand for people who are building their own business in the business world. This study was carried out with the aim of evaluating the entrepreneurial trends and intentions of computer engineering students along with their socio-demographic characteristics. In the study, data about the situations of carrying the characteristics related to the socio-demographic characteristics of students, entrepreneurial tendencies and intentions were collected through surveys applied to students. The data assessment determined frequencies and statistical analysis was carried out where the student's career plans and the other variables were studied. As a result, recommendations were presented to support entrepreneurship (information) in the information sector and to address needs.
