It is known that -within the long period between the conquest of the Andalusia peninsula by Muslims, approximately by the year 711, and the date of their departure-, the magnificence of the civilization shown, and the novelties it brought to the history of civilization, possess a remarkable place. These novelties that started to make themselves felt fairly in all fields of the civilization, also started to show themselves in the literature field and with the effect of that magnificent culture that they possessed, conduced bringing up of important personages in this field. In the development of Arabic literature which showed in Andalusia, -as well as the poets-, the poetesses also have a reputable role. Poetesses, -compared to the traditional Arabic literature that is founded in the East-, found more place in the Andalusian literature that was developing in the West and gained share in. These poetesses who had a voice in every fields of political, social, economical and cultural life, uttered their emotions quite clearly and in a total freedom. So that, some strophes that exist in these poems that are written, appeared among the famous strophes of leading Arabian poets. We, in this article of us, -featuring these poetesses who stay in shadow of the famous poets that come to mind when Andalusian Arabic literature is mentioned-, are going to endeavor to present samples from their poems, trying to shed light on the position they deserve and condign in the world of literature.
