Abstract:

The Islamic world, which had initiated its scientific rise in around the 8th century, actually had reached its peak in the 12th century. It is a well-known fact that the scientific studies in the beginning of this period were as the evaluation of the cultural heritage of the Greek and the Indian civilizations. Andalusia is the name given to the area which was under the impact of Muslim Arabs in the Iberian Peninsula between 711 and 1492. During this period, this region was the scientific leader of the world and it was the brightest civilization of the world for 400-500 years. The aim of this study is to investigate the specifications of Andalusia cities between 10th and 13th centuries. For this purpose, 14 the handwritten travel and geography books which were written by Arab Geographers of that period studied in order to reveal the Historic Geography of Andalusia. As a result of the study, it is clearly understood that the Andalusian cities are very important agricultural, commercial and commercial cities and It has become clear that commercial relations of cities extend to overseas countries.
