Abstract:

  Umut, insana karşılaşabileceği olumsuz yaşantılarla baş edebileceği duygusunu verdiğinden ruh sağlığını olumlu etkiler. Üniversitede mesleğin isteyerek seçilmesinin ve iş bulma olasılığının yüksek olmasının beklentiler, umutlar ve ruh sağlığı üzerindeki önemi büyüktür. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ebelik ve hemşirelik bölümleri öğrencilerinin umutsuzluk düzeyleri bakımından aralarında farklılık olup olmadığını belirlemek, seçtikleri mesleğin bu konuya etkisini anlamaktır. Çalışmada, gelecekle ilgili duygular, motivasyon kaybı ve gelecekle ilgili beklentiler olmak üzere üç alt boyuttan oluşan Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği (BUÖ) uygulanmış ve kendileri ile konuya yönelik görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve ölçek / alt boyut puanları ile bölümler arasındaki farklılığı karşılaştırmak için bağımsız gruplarda t testi kullanılmıştır. Umutsuzluk bakımından,  hemşirelik ve ebelik bölümleri öğrencileri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmaması sonucu, üniversitede aldıkları eğitim sonucu umutlu olmanın ruh sağlığındaki önemini kavramış olmaları pozitif düşünme güçlerini arttıran öğrenme yaşantıları sonucu iyimserliğin önemini görmüş olmaları ve bu konunun umut düzeylerine verdiği katkı ile seçmiş oldukları mesleğin, gelecekte iş bulma olasılığının yüksek olduğunun düşünülmesi ile açıklanabilir.    Anahtar Sözcükler: Ebelik, Hemşirelik, Öğretim, Umutsuzluk.   Abstract Hope, people may experience negative experiences to deal with the feeling that because it gives mental health a positive impact on the University of the profession willingly election and finding a job is highly probable that the expectations and hopes and spirits on health is of great importance. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a difference among the level of hopelessness of students studying at nursing and midwifery departments, and whether the profession they have chosen has any impact on their level of hope. In this study, the Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS) consisting of three subscales, feelings about the future, loss of motivation and expectations about the future has been used and interviews have been conducted with the students in this regard. In the evaluation of the data, descriptive statistics and scale scores / sub-dimension scores, the t test was used in independent samples to compare differences between the departments. Hopelessness, in terms of nursing and midwifery students of a significant difference between absence results in the university education they received as a result be hopeful mental health understand the importance to have the power of positive thinking which increases the learning experience as a result of optimism seen the importance of having and the contribution levels of hope in this topic thoughts they are the profession, future employment probability thought to be explained by the high.  Key Words: Midwifery, Nursing, Instruction, Hopelessness.
