The research paper aims to uncover metaphoric perceptions of teacher candidates for school managers they will work together. A qualitative research was carried out for this purpose. An interview form including two questions was prepared for the study. The questions are the following ones: "1- If you were asked to liken a school manager to a living or non-living thing metaphorically, what would it be?" "2- Could you please explain your reasons?" The data of the research was collected from the fourth class students studying in RecepTayyipErdoğan University, Education Faculty in 2013-2014 academic year. The data was analyzed by content analysis technique. Teacher candidates mostly associated school managers with the metaphors of "father, mother, lion, dictator, shepherd." As a result of the research, it was found out that teacher candidates mostly described school managers by taking "managing, leadership, power, negativity and protection" aspects into consideration. They described school principals as managers having technicalknowledge, leaders affecting groups, power element having legitimate authority. As a consequence, it was found out that the point of view of teacher candidates on school managers is positive
