Abstract:

In this study, the relations between Turkey and Somalia, which will be a test that will shape the African policy for Turkey in the upcoming process and determine the perspective of other countries towards Turkey, are discussed in terms of human diplomacy. In addition, the negative impact of the Al-Shebab organization in the establishment of the relationship between the two countries, which is trying to ensure the formation of a negative perception by making black propaganda about Turkey and aimed at weakening the bond between Turkey and the Somali people by spreading the predecessor-vehabi religious understanding, is examined. In the study that Turkey’s relations with Somalia were addressed in terms of human diplomacy, the Al-Shebab organization has slowed the establishment of the national unity of Somalia, the creation of a new political system, the comprehensive economic structure, the activities related to the structure of the national power of Somalia in a negative way, but Turkey has continued to help and invest without interruption despite all the negative aspects of human diplomacy.
