The aim of this research is to investigate of the effectiveness of the teaching program in unit of averages in statistics course that is taught as the at various department in vocational high college. In the scope of this research; an achievement test which developed by researcher was used related to the unit of averages. The first phase of achievement test consists of 32 items. Test was given previously to 96 vocational high college students who were lectured of the unit of averages and the data was evaluateded with ITEMAN 3.5. 6 items which had lower Point Biser value than .30 were eliminated from test. So, there were 26 items left in the achievement test related to unit of averages. Reliability of the test was found as .88. Besides, there was used a “Scale of Statistic Attitude” which was developed by Diri (2007) was used to determine the students’ attitudes in the statistik course. Measurement tools were administered to a group of 29 students, before and after the lecture of teaching program and the results were evaluated in SPSS 17 by performing the t-test. Results showed that there were no changes of students’ attitudes but there were significant positive changes in their achievement levels
