In this study, it is aimed to investigate whether there is a difference between socio-cultural characteristics and learning approaches of bachelor and associate degree students studying in the department of business administration. The research was carried out on 591 students studying in Department of Business Administration under Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences within Gazi University (BA), Department of Business Management and Department of Accounting and Tax Application under School of Social Sciences within Akdeniz University (Associate Degree) by using a questionnaire. In the research, “Regulated Two-Factor Study Process Questionnaire (R-SPQ-2F)” for determining learning approaches was put to use. As a result of the study, it was found that associate degree students prefer the surface learning approach more with respect to undergraduate students. This could be caused by having received the similar education during the secondary school and being under time pressure because of having two-year of school time
