Bilgisayar teknolojisinin ilerlemesiyle birlikte akıllı cep telefonu sektörü de benzer oranda gelişme göstermektedir. Günümüzde akıllı telefonlar, günlük hayatın ve iş hayatının getirdiği şartlar sebebiyle özellikle bilişim ve iletişime büyük ilgi duyan genç nüfus için artan bir öneme sahiptirler. Cep telefonu pazarındaki hızlı değişimin sonucunda toplum baskısının da etkisiyle tüketiciler bu yeni teknolojiyi satın almaya ve kullanmaya yönelmektedirler. Bu çalışmada, akıllı cep telefonu sektöründeki mevcut alternatiflerin 18- 25 yaş aralığındaki gençler tarafından tercih sıralaması araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada çok kriterli karar verme tekniklerinden olan Analitik hiyerarşi süreci (AHP) ve PROMETHEE kullanılmıştır. Kriter ağırlıkları AHP ile hesaplanmış, alternatiflerin sıralanmasında ise PROMETHEE tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Elde eden sonuçlara göre, servis imkanı, telefon alımındaönemli kriter olarak belirlenmiştir. Ankete katılan kişilerinçok tercih ettiği model, Samsung S6 Edge Plus olmuştur.
