Abstract:

Resimli Kitap magazine is a periodical publication that managed to have been published for over five years at the beginning of the 20th century and made precious contributions to both the sense of press and the social life in cultural and social context. The importance of the magazine which had been published between 1908 and 1914 is based on its clear depiction of political, social, cultural and socio – economical life of that critical time period. The first issue of the magazine was published in September 1908; the last issue was published in 1914. Having been reached to nine volumes and fifty-one issues in this period of time; the magazine had begun and continued it publication in Istanbul. One of the magazines that began publication in the gloomy days of the Second Constitutional Period, Resimli Kitap shines out with its modern sense of press as well as its content of many articles from different fields.
