Abstract:

Global economy has started to change its face in conjuction with the globalization process. Associated with the rising level of the globalization, regionalization trends in global trade had risen and bilateral free trade agreements stood out. The EU which is one of the most important driving actors of the globalization, revised its common trade policy in the context of developments in the global economy and reshaped its trade policy within the context of requirements of the global economy. The article is consist of three chapters. In the first chapter, by taking the historical development of global economy into consideration shortly, the author endeavoured to put alterations of the global economy today forward, in the second chapter, how the European Union trade policy complied with the line of changing aspect of the global economy had been elaborated. In the last chapter, it is claimed that European Union – Canada Compherensive Economic and Trade Agreement realised with the European Union trade policy and in recent economic developments and signed between the European Union and Canada is an example of stated developments.
