In the recent years, developments ın the field of education has led to significant changes in understanding. In the research to improve students' comprehension skills, comprehension processes, stages, meaning configuration, understanding concepts such as models came to the fore. Different methods and techniques have been developedto improve the understanding and comprehension of students in various models. Thus, indirect teaching approach, commonly used in teaching ever sin-ce, abandoned and direct teaching approach has been used. In this process, to improve students' oral comprehension skills applied to two types of model understanding. These are meanprocedural and interactional models. Mental processes and stages of processive movement models were developed by an oral understanding. The first model of the structures of reaching understanding, the second model to predict the structures of meaning. In the interactional model, the listener, verbal interaction of three components, including text and media are discussed. Today, these models are made based on the teaching of oral comprehension. Developing students' oral reading and comprehension skills, reading comprehension, language skills such as writing, makes a contribution to the development of cognitive and social skills.
