Erosion which dates back to eras where the land was started to be cultivated, is an environmental problem both occurs in everywhere all over the world and threatens the cultivated areas. Recently, it further increased its frequency of occurance. Due to erosion, million tonnes of soil are lost and transferred to seas, lakes and dams in such a way that recycling is impossible. Thus, 12x106 hectares of cultivable areas on earth are abandoned as they become unproductive owing to erosion caused from wrong agricultural techniques that are not sustainable. This leads to a loss of cultivated areas per capita while world population increases year after year. In this study, it was created the erosion sensitivity map of a 154,33 km2 area belonging to the Zilli River Basin covering the south region of Iskenderun county of Hatay city. Rainfall erosivity factor (R), Soil Erodibility Factor (K), Topographic Factor (LS),Land Cover-Management Factor (C) And Support Practice Factor (P) are carried out, were used to create this map. As a result, it has been found out that the 10.22 % of investigated area is highly and extremely sensitive to erosion. Moreover, it has been adviced many solution tips.
