Abstract:

The aim of the research is to study the impact of the e-portfolio software integrated into the Facebook social network on the academic achievements of students and their attitudes towards the e-portfolio process. The research was carried out with the participation of 69 teachers candidates who studied in the third class of the BÖTE Department of the University of Trakya Education Faculty. In the study, the experimental model of the pre-test-sontest control group was used. In the study, the "Computer Reading-Writing Scale" developed by Demirli (2007) and the "E-Portfolio Attitude Scale to the Teaching Process" developed by Passer and Mountain (2010) was used. The study also developed an academic success test by the researcher in order to determine the impact of e-portfolio assessment on academic success. The study found that the academic achievement of the teachers candidates who participated in the experimental group and used the e-portfolio software integrated into the Facebook social network was significantly higher than the average score of the classmates in the other group. In the durability test conducted in the application result, it was also found that the average score of academic success of the teacher candidates in the experiment group was significantly higher compared to the classmates. The sustainability test found that the teaching group candidates’ attitudes regarding the use of the e-portfolio software integrated into the Facebook social network continued to be positive.
