Abstract:

The aim of this research is to identify the impact of internet use in social information teaching on student academic achievements and the durability of information. It is also intended to identify the opinions of the students of the experimental group studying using the internet on the learning process. The study has adopted the karma approach in which quantum and quality methods are used together. In the quantitative size of the study, classes were determined by random method as the one experiment and the other control group. Students in the experiment group were processed using the internet while the courses were processed in the control group. As a data collection tool, the academic success test has been used. The academic success test is also used as a durability test. The data obtained in the study was evaluated using the T test. In the quality size of the study, the Half-Structured Interview Forms were used to determine the students and teachers' opinions. According to the results of the study, significant results were found in favour of the experimental group between the academic success and durability scores of the experimental and control group. The results obtained from semi-structured conversations are also qualified to support both the teacher and the student’s views.
