Three fountains in the center of Ulubey town and twenty one in its villages totaling to twenty-four have been identified in this study on the fountains of the Ottoman period in Ulubey district in Uşak province. Most of the fountains largely preserve their characteristic features indicating with their designs and decorative elements that they belong to the period between 18th and 20th centuries. Some of the structures became useless due to the destructions caused by people and the time. Each of the fountains has been photographed, their sizes measured, sketches drawn and GPS codes of their location recorded. Thus, the primary objective of our study is to prepare detailed documentation based on filed studies for those fountains under consideration. The study also discusses the issues related to the preservation of Ulubey fountains beginning to disappear as result of natural causes and human interventions and evaluates them with reference to the architectural features of Uşak and Anatolian Turkish fountains.
