Kamerî ayların tespit edilmesi, bir çok ibadetin eda edilmesinde önem taşımaktadır. Bu hususta astronomi ve coğrafya bilimlerinden istifade edilmesi kaçınılmazdır. Kamerî ayların tespiti hususunda, ictima anını esas almak ve hesaba dayalı rü’yeti esas almak üzere iki farklı yaklaşım söz konusudur. İslâm ülkeleri arasındaki ihtilafı ortadan kaldırmanın ideal çözümü İslâm Konferansı Örğütü çatısı altında yaptırım gücü olan bir kurulun oluşturulması ve bu kurulun mevcut ictihadlardan birisini tercih edip bu kararın tüm dünyada uygulanmasını sağlamasıdır. Kısa vadede çözüm önerisi ise ictima anının tüm İslâm ülkelerinde uygulamaya konulmasıdır. Bu çözüm önerileri hayata geçirilinceye kadar her bir müslümana düşen görev ise, kendi ülkesinde ilan edilen takvimi esas alarak ibadetlerini eda etmesidir.

This committee must choose one of two different methods and Islamic countries should act accordingly. Short-term solution is that all countries should take the conjuction time method. Association in the world can not be achieved, at least in the country should be provided together. All individual Muslim has to obey according to schedule in their own countries.
