Abstract:

Divanu Lugati’t Turk as every subject consists of valuable information on food and beverage culture of Turkic people in 11th century It’s possible to find any information about making food and beverages beside revealing their names in the work In this article we investigated the names of food and beverages in Divanu Lugati’t Turk and their status in Turkey Turkish standart language and dialects which gives wide range of features of 11th century Turkish vocabulary as a constant indicator of cultural items It has been investigated if survives the names of food and beverages or not considiring the time passed about thousand years as well Keywords: Divanu Lugati’t Turk Turkey Turkish Anatolian dialects the names of food and beverage
