As all business firms operating in a highly competitive environment higher education institutions also indicate an intense effort to be accredited as far as their education system and their administrative system are concerned The efforts to secure accreditation however are accompanied by a huge change wave and positive attitudes of the personel become critical for the success of the quality studies in this process Mersin University has been awarded a Quality Management System document by the Turkish Standards Institute two years ago The purpose of this study is to investigate the attitudes of the university personnel including all the academic and administrative staff in relation to the change process in the institution The research material consists of the “Attitude Againts Change Scale” and a questionnaire all to be filled out by the respondents The results indicate that the title years worked and the way of participation in the quality studies heve different effects on the attitudes regarding the change process Keywords: Quality Management System Higher Education Institutions Organizational Change
