The purpose of this study is to determine the views of special education teachers working with students with mental deficiencies in Eskişehir province on the studies related to the mathematics course. Within the context of the study, the views of eight volunteer special education teachers were collected. The study was carried out by means of qualitative research method; the semi-structured interview technique, which is among the qualitative data collection methods, were used; and the collected data was analyzed through induction. All of the participants are graduates of Special Education Department and working as special education teachers in Eskişehir. The findings indicated that the views of teachers on the mathematics education for children were positive. Moreover, the collaboration of the school and parents and the expectations from the school administration were mostly related to the equipment. At the end of the study, it was suggested in the light of the findings that the current mathematics educational programs for the children with mental deficiencies should be developed and be made more systematic; in addition to this, the equipment should be enriched within the educational programs; and effective parent education programs should be prepared for the mathematics education.
