Abstract:

One of the environments where non-class teaching activities can be performed effectively is the museums and my museums are being used for educational purposes. Death and evaluation activities are a significant dimension that should not be neglected in the use of museums for educational purposes. The measurement and evaluation activities to be carried out in museums must be systematically carried out in three stages: pre-museum, in museum and after-museum. In the pre-museum phase, the level of preparation of students, the performance of students in the process in the museum phase and the post-museum phase are determined in relation to the level of performance students achieved after training. In this process, tools such as performance task, portfolio, scale score key, scale scale, control list can be used. The measurement and evaluation activities to be carried out in museums should be designed in a structure that is related to real life conditions, focused on high-level mental processes, connected to the school curriculum and involves students in the evaluation process. In this study, the basic structure of measurement and evaluation activities to be carried out when museums are used as an educational environment has been explained and examples of applications have been presented.
