Halkla İlişkiler Çalışanlarının Mobbing Algıları: Yaygınlık, Türleri, Nedenleri ve Mücadele Yöntemleri

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, kamu hastanelerinde yer alan Halkla İlişkiler Birimi çalışanlarının, işyerinde mobbinge maruz kalma, mobbing türleri, nedenleri ve mobbing ile mücadele yöntemleri konusundaki algılarının belirlenmesidir. Tarama modelinde yürütülen araştırmanın örneklemi, Şanlıurfa, Hatay ve Samsun illerinde bulunan ve kamuya ait hastanelerde bulunan Halkla İlişkiler Biriminde çalışan toplam 120 katılımcıdan oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada veriler, anket yoluyla toplanmış ve betimsel istatistiksel tekniklerle analiz edilmiştir. Hastane HİB’de, mobbingin yaygınlığı ve türlerine ilişkin olarak, araştırmada ulaşılan sonuçlar şöyledir: Araştırmanın yürütüldüğü HİB çalışanları, işyerinde sürekli mobbinge maruz kaldığı algısına sahiptir. Katılımcıların maruz kaldığı mobbing türleri sırayla, dış müşterilerin uyguladığı mobbing, yukarıdan aşağıya mobbing, aşağıdan yukarıya mobbing ve yatay mobbing şeklindedir. Katılımcılardan erkek çalışanlarının, yukarıdan aşağıya doğru olan mobbinge, kadınlardan daha fazla maruz kaldıkları belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada, Halkla İlişkiler Birimi çalışanlarının maruz kaldığı mobbingin nedenleri için,fazla, iş koşullarını işaret ettikleri belirlenmiştir. Bunu, çalışanın kişisel özellikleri ve sendikalı olma nedenleri izlemektedir. Buna göre, araştırmanın yürütüldüğü Halkla İlişkiler Biriminin çalışma koşullarının, mobbinge yol açtığı söylenebilir. Bu yöndeki algı, kadın çalışanlarda daha fazladır. Sendikalı olmanın mobbing nedeni olma algısı ise, kıdemli çalışanlarda daha fazladır. Mobbing ile mücadele konusunda, katılımcılar kendisini yeterli görmemektedir. Katılımcılar, mobbing ile mücadelede pasif mücadele yolunu tercih etmekte ve sendikadan destek görmemektedir. Katılımcılar, mobbing ile mücadelede sıraylaçok; ailelerden, iş arkadaşlarından ve yöneticilerden destek görmektedirler.

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to identify the perceptions of the employees of the Public Relations Unit in public hospitals about the exposure to harassment at work, the types of harassment, the causes and the methods of fighting harassment. The sample of the research conducted in the screening model is made up of a total of 120 participants working in the Public Relations Unit located in the provinces of Shanlıurfa, Hatay and Samsun and in public hospitals. In the study, the data was collected through the survey and analyzed using visual statistical techniques. In the hospital HIB, with regard to the prevalence and types of harassment, the results achieved in the research are as follows: HIB employees in which the research was carried out have the perception that they are constantly exposed to harassment at work. The types of harassment that participants are exposed, in turn, are the forms of harassment by external customers, harassment from up to down, harassment from down to up, and horizontal harassment. From the participants, the male employees were determined to be more exposed to abuse from above to below than women. In the study, the Public Relations Unit employees were indicated for the reasons of the harassment that they were exposed to, too, the working conditions. This follows the personal characteristics of the employee and the reasons for becoming a trade union. According to this, the research can be said that the working conditions of the Public Relations Unit that the research is carried out, lead to harassment. In this direction, the perception of women is more in the workers. If the perception of being a trade union is the cause of harassment, it is more in senior employees. When it comes to the fight against harassment, the participants do not see themselves enough. Participants prefer the path of passive fighting in the fight against harassment and do not see the support of the trade union. Participants are in the fight against harassment; they receive support from their families, colleagues and managers.
