Abstract:

The objective of this study is to explore the educational policies and educational ideas of the Ottoman State in the last period; the educational policies of the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the system changes and educational policies made in the light of the Ottoman State. The problem of teachers and current problems of education is to identify and provide solutions to these problems. The research method is an imaginary study done through the scan of legislation and literature. According to the study, in Turkey, education policies are defined as a government policy, rather than a state policy. These policies, which are not updated in the light of the world’s developments, have been shown to be insufficient to respond to the country’s needs. The decision-making of the National Education Policy, which was created to guide the education policies, was in the nature of advice and the difficulties in the implementation of these decisions have led to the continuation of the problems. It is understood in the study that the policy and understanding of the training of teachers who are practitioners are also translated in the direction of a understanding similar to the general education policy.
