Abstract İslam Tarihinde 'İlk Dönem İslam Fetihleri'nin son halkası ve tacı olan Endülüs, bu şöhretinin ardından yine bir ilke sahne olmuş fakat, bu kez Reconquista'nın ilk halkasını teşkil etmiştir. Reconquista, İslam fetihlerine karşı Hıristiyanların yaptığı karşı hareketin adıdır. Yani fethedilmiş bir İslam beldesinin Hristiyanlarca geri alınması hareketidir. Orta doğu İslam ülkesine karşı 1096 yılında başladığı bilinen Haçlı Seferleri, aslında 'İkinci Dönem Haçlı Seferleridir. Çünkü İslam Tarihinde Müslümanlara karşı Hristiyanların Haçlı ruhuyla gerçekleştirdiği 'İlk Dönem Haçlı Seferleri', Endülüs şehirlerine karşı yapılmış olan saldırılardır.
