Abstract enThe severe conditions and the external facrtors due to Hersek rebellion in 1875, resulted in an another rebellion in Bulgaria in May 1876. However, the rebellion was hardly controlled. Many exaggerated and groundless news about the controlled rebellion which rely on Bulgarian and Russian sources appear on English media and its use as an politic material by english liberals caused a great range against Turks. These reactions against Turks in English public made a target of English government as well. Although, English government was faithful to the traditional politics which depends on the Ottoman Empireâs independence and territory and union by resisting the pressures of English public. As a result, rebelilion in Bulgaria changed English policy in the east and after the Ottoman-Russian War in 1877-1878, English foreign policy played destructive and damaging role on the part of Ottoman Empire.
