Abstract enPurpose: The problem of Nagorno-Karabakh turned into a war with the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia. A ceasefire was declared between Azerbaijan and Armenia in 1994. But occasional conflicts on the ceasefire line indicate that this problem continues to threaten international peace and security. The purpose of this study is to examine the Armenia’s international responsibility arising from the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh. Method: In this study, the conditions and consequences of Armenia’s international responsibility arising from the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh examined in terms of Draft Articles on the Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts. Findings: According to the conclusion reached by this study, Armenia should cease the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh, offer appropriate assurances of non-repetition of occupation, give back the occupied territories to Azerbaijan, compensate the Azerbaijan’s damage and, give satisfaction for the damage.
