KURUMSAL LİDERLİK: KURUM KÜLTÜRÜ İLE UYUMLU ETKİN LİDERLİK DAVRANIŞLARININ BELİRLENMESİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

ÖZET: Bu çalışmada; Türkiye’deki bir kamu kuruluşunda kurum kültürü ile uyumlu etkin lider davranışları araştırılmıştır. Anket ve sayısal olmayan veri toplama yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı araştırmada; verilerin analizi sonucu, çalışanlar tarafından benimsenecek ve liderlerin başarısına katkı sağlayacak kuruma özgü etkin lider davranışları ortaya konulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda bazı kültür boyutları ile lider özelliklerinden; “olumlu lider davranışları” olarak tespit edilenler arasında anlamlı ve pozitif, “olumsuz lider davranışları” olarak belirlenenler arasında ise negatif ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir. Kurumda etkin olabilecek liderlik özellikleri, ikisi temel olmak üzere dokuz faktör altında toplanmıştır. Bunlardan kurumun lider eğitim programlarına dâhil edilebilecek “takım odaklı, dinamik, vizyon sahibi ve dürüst” liderler ile “düzenli, cesaretlendirici, birleştirici ve sakin” olanların kurumda daha “etkin lider” olabileceği görülmüştür.   ABSTRACT: The study investigates organizational leadership, effective leader behaviors and the relationships between organizational culture and leadership in a Turkish public organization. Considering the effects of organizational culture on leader’s attributes in an organization, quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis were used. The results of the data analysis reveals the opinions’ of leaders about organizational “as is” and “should be” cultures, and effective leader behaviors peculiar to organizations which contributes to the success of leaders. It has been found that some cultural dimensions have been seen to have a positive and significant correlation with “positive leader behaviors”, and negative and significant correlation with “negative leader behaviors.” Effective leader behaviors befitting this organization come under nine factors, two of which that must be integrated into the leader development program of the organization come to the foreground: one profile of leadership is “team-oriented, dynamic, visionary, honest” and the other is “systematic, encouraging, unifying, calm”.
