Nancy Spero’s known work “Acrobat”: The research, titled Dissident Dance’ aims to determine how the artist questioned the place of women in the historical process within her style, based on the work titled ‘Acrobat’ of Nancy Spero as a female artist, who is aware of the fact how social and political events influence society. In the research, the work titled ‘Acrobat’ is examined in the context of usage and interpretation of technical, stylistic, historical and mythological sources, based on the Works created by Nancy Spero using different techniques. At the end of this research, it is thought to be possible to symbolize Nancy Spero, who made interpretation and criticize in her own artistic style as a female artist by turning in favour of all the negativity she lived
