Svetlana Alexievich, a researcher, a journalist and a writer, was born in Ukraine in 1948. She is among writers who experienced the process of Soviet Union collapse. When her works are evaluated in general, she is identified mostly as a journalist. Consequently, almost all of her works have been considered to be filled with the memories of people who lived during above-mentioned time. Translated into Turkish "Soviet Women in the Nazi Occupation", "Oral History of a Nuclear Disaster - Voices from Chernobyl" and " Secondhand Time: The Last of the Soviets " are among those works. The Nobel Prize in Literature for 2015 was awarded to her for " Secondhand Time: The Last of the Soviets ". This work, which reveals the chronology of the Soviet system communist thinker, has got considerations of people of different social classes on changing system. İn this work, rich in real life stories, people compare the past and present. In this study, it is aimed to investigate process of Soviet Union collapse and afterwards described in true stories of " Secondhand Time: The Last of the Soviets” novel by means of the pluralistic method.
