Şeyhi, one of the poets of the establishment period of Classical Turkish Literature, penned works which made him one of the unforgettable figures in the history. One of these works is Harnâme, one of the first literary works of Turkish Literature in the field of humor and social criticism. Harnâme is a work which gives messages related to social equality, wealth, knowledge, power, fate through animals’ talk. Though the story part, written in mesnevi form, is widely known, it can be seen that there is not enough information about the beginning and end and form features in the sources. In this study, I have tried to evaluate the formal features and content of the work.
