The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between leadership types of school principals mobbing experience level of teachers. The study was a relational screening model research. Population of the study were composed of 1315 primary school teachers who work in Turkish Public, in Siirt, Turkey. The study sample was not taken. In the study, scale of “Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire” developed by Bass and Avolio (1995) was used to determine the leadership styles of school principals. Scale of “Negative Behaviour Questionnaire”, developed by Finarsen and Raknes (1997) and was used to determine frequency level of mobbing experience in term of task and social relation dimension which teachers experience. The result of the study indicate that school principals displayed transformational leadership behaviours at mid-level while school principals displayed transactional leadership behaviours at low level and display transactional behaviours in low level, this means that they display transactional leadership behaviours more often than transactional leadership behaviours. The results shows that teachers, working in primary schools, are ‘sometimes’ exposed to mobbing experiences in terms of term of task and social relation dimension, effect of transformational leadership has been in negative direction and meaningful over mobbing, on the other hand, effect of transactional leadership is not meaningful over mobbing. As a result of regression analysis all sub-dimensions of transformational and transactional leadership have predictive for mobbing in terms of task and social relation.
