Abstract:

Today, when the business is studied in the world and in Turkey, it is seen that most of the in the economic life are family or the continuation of the that were initially established as family. This study has addressed the administrative problems that managers face in family enterprises that make up a large part of the Turkish economy. Secondly, it was assessed whether the characteristics that managers possess (age, level of education, time of work) have a relationship with these problems that they face. The study was conducted on the managers of small and medium-sized family enterprises operating in the manufacturing sector in the Gebze district of Kocaeli, one of the important industrial areas of Turkey.
