Abstract:

People have had to leave the place where they live or has been forced to leave because of the reasons such as wars, internal conits and natural disasters. Thus, in order to explain this situation, the concept of immigrant has emerged and it has included the opposite meaning of optional migration, which is called voluntary migration. Turkey is located in the middle of Europe, Asia, and Africa continents as a natural bridge. In recent years it has continued unabated migration. The vast majority of these migrations have been “forced migration”. As one of the signatories of the 1951 Geneva Convention on refugees, Turkey has recognized the right to asylum. However, Turkey has put forward certain conditions to sign the contract. The exclusion of the refugee status of asylum seekers from Eastern countries is one of these conditions. In this study, the history of the migration which rooted from after 1979 Iran, Iraq and Syria and its socio-economic impacts on Turkey will be examined. In addition, generally, the impacts of the Middle East-oriented forced immigration on Turkey in terms of socially and economically will be described
