Abstract:

Public sector is of significant importance for every country. Basic services of state and expected duties are provided by public sector. Public sector in Turkey has already been organized under a legal frame with a mission to supervise and regulate the fields which belong to the private sector and to meet the basic needs of the state and the public and to establish the order. As for subject of organizational commitment, it can be explained as the sense of belonging of the employees to their organizations or businesses in different ways such as emotional, attitudinal and behavioural acts. But commitment levels of public employees can heavily be influential on service efficiency and productivity of the governmental organizations. In this case whether loyalties of public sector employees are high or low can also be said to influence some factors positively or negatively. In this research, under the title “Effects of Organizational Commitment in Turkish Public Sector”, the topics such as increasing of institutional productivity and efficiency, lack of attendance, coming to work late, labour turnover, providing qualified workforce, performance, job satisfaction, organizational trust to the organization are analysed.
