Bu araştırmanın amacı okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının sanat kavramına ilişkin algılarını metaforlar aracılığıyla belirlemektir. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim (fenomenoloji) deseninde yürütülmüştür. Araştırma, 2017-2018 öğretim yılında, Türkiye’ nin doğusunda yer alan bir üniversitenin Eğitim Fakültesi Temel Eğitim Bölümü Okul Öncesi Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı’nda öğrenim gören 92 öğretmen adayının katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının araştırmaya katılmasında gönüllü ve istekli olmaları göz önünde bulundurulmuştur. Örneklem seçiminde kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya dahil edilen öğretmen adaylarına ‘Sanat…….e/a benzer çünkü…...’ şeklinde eksik bırakılmış cümlenin yazıldığı bir form verilerek doldurmaları istenmiştir. Toplanan formlar nitel araştırma desenine uygun olarak içerik analizi yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının 61 farklı metafor ürettiği ve metaforların gerekçeleri dikkate alındığında 9 kategori altında toplandığı belirlenmiştir. Buna göre okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının sanatı özgün ve öznel olan, dışa vurum sağlayan, somutlaştıran, doğadan esinlenen, temel ihtiyaç olan, huzur ve keyif veren, güzel ve etkileyici olan, emek ve özen gerektiren bir kavram olarak algıladıkları sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu sonuç ışığında öneriler getirilmiştir.
The purpose of this research is to determine the perceptions of pre-school teacher candidates about the concept of art through metaphors. The research is carried out in the phenomenology (fenomenology) pattern of the research methods. The research, in the 2017-2018 academic year, was carried out with the participation of 92 teachers candidates who studied in the Pre-School Education Anabolic Department of the Faculty of Education of an university located in the east of Turkey. Teachers are considered to be voluntary and willing to participate in the research. The sample is easily accessible in the selection of samples. The teachers who were involved in the study were asked to fill in a form in which the missed phrase was written in the form of 'Art....e/a because...'. The forms collected were evaluated by the content analysis method according to the quality research pattern. The results of the analysis found that the teacher candidates produced 61 different metaphors and that metaphors were gathered under 9 categories, taking into account the reasons. According to this, the art of the pre-school teachers candidates has come to the conclusion that they perceive as a concept that is original and subjective, that gives an outward impact, that makes it concrete, that is inspired by nature, that is a fundamental need, that is peaceful and pleasant, that is beautiful and impressive, that requires work and care. In light of this result, recommendations have been made.
This study aims to determine prospective preschool teachers’ perceptions about the concept of art through metaphors. The research was carried out in the phenomenological science pattern of qualitative research methods. The research was carried out in the 2017-2018 school year with the participation of 92 prospective preschool teachers who were registered in the Department of Preschool Education in the Faculty of Education of a university located in the east of Türkiye. Participation in the study was voluntary based. For the selection of the sample, a simple random sampling method was used. prospective preschool teachers were provided a form that is created with fill-in-the-gap sentences: “Art is like….. because……”. The collected forms were evaluated by the content analysis method according to a qualitative research design. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that prospective teachers produced 61 metaphors that were collected under nine categories when the reasons for the metaphors were taken into consideration. Accordingly, the art of prospective preschool teachers; they come to the conclusion that they are perceived as a concept which requires originality and subjectivity, external expression, concretization, inspiration from nature, a basic necessity, peace and joy, beautiful and impressive, labor and care. Suggestions have been made under the light of these results.
