Bu çalışmada Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin’in hayatına dair ele aldığımız konu ile ilgili bazı hususlar üzerinde durulduktan sonra onun tefsir ilmi ile ilgili çalışmalarından tahkikini yaptığı Ubeyde Ma’mer b. Müsennâ et-Teymî el-Basrî’nin Mecâzü’l-Kur’ân adlı eseri, Buhârî’nin Kaynakları Hakkında Araştırmalar adlı çalışması, Arap-İslam Bilimleri Tarihi isimli dev eserin Kur’an ve Tefsir ilmi ile ilgili bölümü, yine tahkikini yaptığı çalışmalardan Ebu Bekr Muhammed b. Tayyib b. Muhammed el-Basrî el-Bakillâni’ye ait el-İntisâr li’l-Kur’ân ve Ebû ‘Ubeyd Kâsım b. Sellâm el-Herevî el-Ezdî’ye ait en-Nâsih ve’l-Mensûh fi’l-Kur’an gibi eserleri ve bazı makaleleri irdelenecek ancak önemine binaen bazı eserleri üzerinde daha fazla durulacaktır. Daha sonra bu çalışmaları bağlamında onun tefsir ilmine katkıları, bilimsel tefsire karşı tutumu, Kur’an tasavvuru, Kur’an Tarihi, Kıraat ve Filolojik Tefsir konusundaki görüşleri ele alınacaktır. Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin’in eserleri tanıtılırken konumuzla yakından ilgili olan hususlarda daha fazla bilgi verilmeye çalışılacak, görüşleri de eserleri ve farklı vesilelerle yaptığı konuşmalar üzerinden tespit edilip değerlendirilme yönüne gidilecektir.

Then, in the context of these studies, his contributions to the interpretation of the science, his attitude against the scientific interpretation, his views on the subject of the Qur’an design, the Qur’an history, the curate and the philosophical interpretation will be discussed. The works of Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin will be presented while we will try to provide more information on the issues that are closely related to our subject, and their opinions will be identified and evaluated through their works and talks with different occasions.
