Türkiye’de yüksek din öğretimi kurumları üzerine, kendi kadim tarihî akışına eşlik eden çok sayıda akademik çalışmanın gerçekleştirilmiş olduğu bilinen bir vakıadır. Bu çalışmalarda yüksek din öğretimi kurumları amaçları, programları, istihdam alanları ve sorunları başta olmak üzere akademisyenler tarafından farklı yönleriyle ele alınmıştır. Bu makalede, akademisyenlerin ortaya koyduğu görüşlerden farklı olarak, ilahiyat fakültesinin hedef kitlesi olan öğrencilerin fakülte programına ilişkin algılarını metaforlar yoluyla incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Trabzon Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nde 2018-2019 akademik yılında 4. sınıfı tamamlama aşamasında bulunan 73 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan “İlahiyat Fakültesi Programına İlişkin Metaforik Algı Formu” kullanılmış, çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Geçerli kabul edilen 65 formdaki metaforlar, ortak özellikleri bakımından yedi kategoride sınıflandırılmıştır. Yüzde ağırlığına göre katılımcıların en büyük oranının ilahiyat fakültesi programına ilişkin algılarının programın işlevselliği (%29,23) ile içerik ve kapsamının genişliği/derinliği (%23,08) yönünde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bulgular bölümünde, her kategori kapsamındaki algı, arka planındaki nedenlerle birlikte katılımcı ifadeleri eşliğinde incelenmiştir.
On higher religious teaching institutions in Turkey, it is a known case that many academic studies accompanied by its ancient historical flow have been carried out. In these studies, higher religious teaching institutions have been addressed by academics with different aspects, including their objectives, programs, employment areas and problems. In this article, unlike the opinions the academics present, it is intended to study the perceptions of the students, which are the target audience of the Faculty of Theology, about the faculty program through metaphors. The research study group consists of 73 students at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Trabzon, who are in the 4th grade completion stage in the 2018-2019 academic year. In the study, the methods of research have been used by the fact scientific design. In the collection of data, the "Metaforic Perception Form" used by the researcher in relation to the Faculty of Theology program, the analysis of the content analysis technique was used. The metaphors in the 65 valid forms are classified in seven categories in terms of common characteristics. According to the weight of the percentage, the major percentage of participants found that their perceptions regarding the Divine Faculty program are in the functionality of the program (29.23) and the width/deep of the content and scope (23.08) of the program. In the findings section, the perception within each category is studied along with the reasons in the background accompanied by the participants’ statements.
It is a known fact that numerous academic studies have been carried out on higher religious education institutions in Turkey for long years. In these studies, these institutions have been discussed from different aspects such objectives, programs, employment areas and basic problems. In this article, it is aimed to examine perceptions of the students about the faculty program through metaphors. The study group of the research consists of 73 senior students studying at the Faculty of Theology at Trabzon University in the academic year 2018-2019. Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. For data collection “Metaphoric Perception Form for Faculty of Theology” prepared by the researcher was used and for data analysis, content analysis technique was used. Metaphors in 65 accepted forms are classified into seven categories in terms of their common characteristics. The highest percentage of the participants’ perceptions about Faculty of Theology Program was found to be the functionality (29.23%) of the program and the breadth/depth of the content and scope of the program (23.08%). In the findings title, perceptions in each category were examined with background reasons and participant statements.
