Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to determine the extent of the influence of the teachers on the organizational silence perceptions. In Turkey, 33 studies in accordance with the criteria for the inclusion of the master’s and doctoral thesis and research articles on the organizational silence perceptions of teachers in the school have been discussed. The total number of samples in the study is 11,128 of which 5,082 are women and 6,046 are male teachers. In this study, the meta-analysis method, which is one of the methods of synthesizing the research results, was used. According to the random effects model (d=-0,08) for teachers with 10 years and older age, the study found a statistically meaningless level of impact. According to the moderators’ analysis, the study’s influence has not varied according to the type of publication (p=0,74), the type of school (p=0,41), the degree of teaching (p=0,53), the area where the research was carried out (p=0,33), the title of the teacher (p=0,33) and the gender of the researcher (p=0,59). In terms of teaching, the organizational silence perceptions of teachers with 10 years and over who work in pre-school education (d=-0,32) and private education (d=0,10) were higher than those working in other classes. In the context of the regions where the research was carried out, the results of the research done outside the southeastern Anadolu region (d=0.10) show that teachers with 10 years or more of age have a high organizational silence perception. In addition, in terms of the size of the impact of research, the trend continues in favor of teachers with 10 years or more of age difference from years to years.
