Abstract:

Mehmet Rauf, famous for writing his first novel with a psychological assessment, is one of the important names of the Fünun staff. His close friendship with Halit Ziya made him one of the most important names of the group. But the attitudes he shows in his daily life and some of his works that were not accepted in the period, made the writer’s life a lot difficult and led to his discretion. The artist who had to win his life by writing after being removed from the state office, although he wrote a lot of works, these works did not attract attention as "September", in our literary history Rauf has always been referred to with his famous novel "September". One of the important works of the writer, who continued to give works during the Republic period, which was not much subject to literary studies, is the Last Star, which consists of 633 pages. "The Great Love Novel" is a subtitled work that draws attention as one of the writer's important products with its narrative characteristics and volume. 27 The honorary work in the entrance of the work published in 1927 is distinguished from the famous novel by Mehmet Rauf. When writing the novel, Mehmet Rauf was inflamed and failed to use his right arm. The novel, completed with the help of his wife, brings traces of the classic line of Mehmet Rauf with some characteristics. But the Last Star, with the wealth of staff, the flow of events and the success in psychological assessments, is a much more successful work than September. The work is also separated from the other novel by the author. With these aspects, this work that we think should take the place of "September" in our literary history, has been evaluated in all aspects of our work.
