Abstract:

Psychomithology is a roof concept that uses the data of mythology and modern psychology. This concept, which refers to the use of mythological narratives in psychology, has been accelerated by Freud’s discovery of the Oidipus Complex. With a mythological story, Freud revealed the psychodynamic theory, he opened a path to the theorists who came after him. After that, it is possible to say that many theories are also used by mythological stories. In the examination, information was given about psychomethology. After this information, the psychomithological elements were revealed in Buket Uzuner's novel "The Adventures of the Negative Defence Kaman: Earth" and tried to explain it with the help of psychodynamic theory. In this framework, it was found that Longer had a link between mythological stories and the life of today’s man. Erlik Han, the land symbolism and the geik symbol, was revealed through the particular individual, which generally guides the society, and many elements of faith are continued in today’s life, romantic characters.

Freud, who introduced psychodynamic theory with a mythological story, paved the way for subsequent theorists. Later on, it is possible to say that many theories have benefited from mythological narratives too. In the rewiev, information about psychomitology was given. After giving this information, psychomithological elements were revealed in Buket Uzuner's novel named as "Uyumusuz Defne Kaman’ın Maceraları: Toprak” and it has been tried to explain with the help of psychodynamic theory. Within this framework, it was identified that Uzuner made a connection between the mythological narratives and the life of today's people. It was put forward with the help of novel characters that Erlik Khan, land symbolics and deer symbol directs both society and individuals generally and individually and it is revealed that many elements of belief continue in today's life.
