İMAM HATİP LİSESİNDE ÖĞRENİM GÖREN SURİYELİ ÖĞRENCİLERİN EĞİTİM SORUNLARI: KİLİS ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract:

Göç, geçmişte var olduğu gibi günümüzde de var olan sosyal bir olgudur. Zira insanlar tarih boyunca savaşlar, afetler, toplumsal veya siyasi sebeplerden dolayı göç etmek durumunda kalmışlardır. Suriye’de yedi yılı aşkın bir süreden beri davam eden iç savaş nedeniyle Türkiye’ye dört milyona yakın insan göç etmek mecburiyetinde kalmıştır. Göç eden bu kalabalık kitlenin arasında en büyük oranı öğrenim çağında bulunan çocuk ve gençler oluşturmaktadır. 2016–2017 eğitim-öğretim yılından buyana Suriyeli öğrenciler İmam Hatip okulları da dâhil olmak üzere Türk eğitim sistemi içerisine alınmaya başlamışlardır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Suriyelilerin yoğun olarak bulunduğu illerden birisi olan Kilis ili örneğinde İmam Hatip Lisesinde öğrenim gören Suriyeli öğrencilerin karşılaştıkları eğitim sorunlarının belirlenmesidir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntem ve teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda “yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu” aracılığı ile görüşmeler yapılarak nitel veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. Bu amaçla Kilis’te iki farklı okulda öğrenim gören on iki öğrenci ile görüşülmüştür. Ayrıca, Suriyeli öğrencilerin eğitimde görevli öğretmenlerinde görüş ve deneyimleri çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda İmam Hatip Lisesinde öğrenim gören Suriyeli öğrencilerin dil sorunu başta olmak üzere, okul kültürüne uyum, ötekileştirilme gibi sorunlarla karşılaştıkları tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin Arapçaya dayalı Kur’an-ı Kerim, Arapça, Hadis gibi derslerde akademik başarı sağladıkları görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin kültürel kodları itibarıyla İmam Hatip Okullarına daha rahat uyum sağladıkları ve burada aldıkları din eğitiminin kendi ihtiyaçlarını karşıladığı saptanmıştır.

Migration is a social phenomenon that exists today just as it has existed in the past. Thro history, people have had to migrate due to wars, disasters, social or political reasons. For more than seven years because of the ongoing civil war in Syria, approximately four million people have been forced to migrate to Turkey. The largest proportion of this immigrant population consists of children and young people in the age of education. Since 2016-2017 academic years, Syrian students have been recruited into the Turkish education system, including Imam-Hatip schools. The aim of this study is to determine the educational problems faced by the Syrian students studying at Imam-Hatip High Schools in Kilis where many Syrians live. In this study, qualitative research methods and techniques have been used. In this direction, qualitative data has been collected through interviews via semi-structured interview form. The data obtained from the study have been analyzed via the content analysis technique. For this purpose interviews were conducted with 12 students in two different schools. In addition, the opinions and experiences of teachers are included in the study, those who work in the schools where Syrian students are enrolled. As a result of the study, it determined that Syrian students who study in Imam-Hatip High Schools have had problems such as language issues, adaptation to school, and feelings of alienation. They were found to be more successful in lessons such as Quran, Arabic and Hadith which are based on Arabic. It was determined that these students are more adapted to Imam-Hatip High Schools because of their cultural codes and they found enough the religious education they have received in these schools.
