Argümantasyon Yönteminin Kullanıldığı Deneysel Çalışmaların Analizi: Bir Meta-Sentez Çalışması

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, argümantasyon yönteminin kullanıldığı deneysel çalışmalardan oluşan lisansüstü tezlerin çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. 2007-2016 yılları arasında argümantasyon yönteminin kullanıldığı deneysel çalışmalar içeren ve YÖK Ulusal Tez merkezi web sitesinde erişime açık olan 33 lisansüstü tez çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, çalışmaların büyük bir bölümünün yüksek lisans tezi olduğu, daha çok 2013 yılından itibaren artış gösteren çalışmaların yöntem, veri toplama araçları ve veri analizi türleri açısından ağırlıklı olarak nicel bağlamda gerçekleştirilmiş olduğu, araştırmaların büyük bir kısmının fen (fizik, kimya ve biyoloji) bilimleri eğitimi alanında olduğu, daha çok ortaokul düzeyindeki öğrenciler üzerine odaklanıldığı, ağırlıklı olarak tutum, akademik başarı, bilimsel süreç becerileri, tartışmaya katılma istekliliği ve kavramsal anlayış gibi değişkenlere etkisinin incelendiği, argümantasyon yönteminin akademik başarı, kavramsal anlayış, tartışmaya katılma istekliliğini artırmada etkili olduğu görülmüştür.

Analysis of Experimental Studies In which the Argumentation Method Is Used: A Meta-Sentez Study

Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to examine graduate theses consisting of experimental studies using argumentation method according to various variables. Between 2007 and 2016, 33 postgraduate theses, which include experimental studies using argumentation method and are accessible on the website of YÖK National Thesis Center, have been examined according to various variables. In the study, it was found that most of the studies were master's thesis, and studies that increased since 2013 were carried out mainly in quantitative terms in terms of methods, data collection tools and data analysis, and most of the researches were studied in science (physics, chemistry and biology) sciences. In this study, it has been observed that the effect of argumentation method on academic achievement, conceptual understanding and willingness to participate in the discussion has been observed, mainly focusing on secondary school students, mainly on attitudes, academic achievement, scientific process skills, willingness to participate in discussion and conceptual understanding.
