Bu çalışmanın amacı; Beden Eğitimi Öğretmeni adaylarının Erikson’un psikososyal gelişim dönemlerindeki kazanımlarının farklı değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir. Bu amaçla ölçekten elde edilen puanlar, cinsiyet, sınıf, YGS giriş puanı ve adayların aktif (lisanslı) olarak spor yapıp yapmaması açısından incelenmiştir. Çalışmaya yedi farklı üniversiteden ve yaş ortalamaları 21.26 (SS=2.15) olan, 282’i kadın ( yaş= 21.00, SS=2.00), 400’ü erkek ( yaş= 21.79, SS=2.20) toplam 682 Beden Eğitimi Öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Veriler Erikson’un “Psikososyal Gelişim Dönemleri Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde; tanımlayıcı istatistiklerin yanında, ikili karşılaştırmalarda bağımsız örnekler t-testi, ikiden fazla grubun karşılaştırılmasında ise tek yönlü varyans analizi ve farklılığın kaynağını bulmak için de Tukey Post-hoc analizi kullanılmıştır. Bağımsız değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin anlamlılığı için ise, Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon tekniği kullanılmıştır, hata payı 0.05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Yapılan analizlere göre; cinsiyete ve sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı bir farklılık elde edilmişken; YGS puanı ve lisanslı olarak spor yapıp yapmama değişkenleri açısından herhangi anlamlı bir farklılık elde edilmemiştir.
